Speltfar Café

Thought I would have at least one picture of my new hair, still straightened. If you follow me on instagram, you might have noticed it got back to curly in the evening.

Yesterday I slept in and I cleaned the whole flat. I was having people over in the evening, so I kind of had to. But in between all of these things I had breakfast, and I would like to bring a recommendation, to those of you who have not yet been there. Continue reading “Speltfar Café”

Copenhagen Fashion Week and sustainability

Todays treats… And if you still have not checked it out, go see if you should support the second edition of Sustain Yearly on Kickstarter… This is their first edition, and I got my hands on one of the last copies.

I am not trying to force anything on anyone. I am not trying to preach, at all, actually! But I am trying to enlighten whoever wants to listen and open some eyes. Continue reading “Copenhagen Fashion Week and sustainability”

Tab water and a challenge

I’m back in Denmark, I slept in a double bed by myself and I have spent the morning walking the dogs, doing laundry and making a longer lasting plan for this blog… And it is not even 9.00 yet.

I arrived yesterday after a 11-hour travel day with wonderful 45 kg to keep me company. I suppose you could call it a kind of work out? I can feel my body today at least.

What I want to talk to you about today is water. Clear, clean, good tasting water. People might say that water does not have a taste, but they are wrong. The thing I have been looking forward to the most, coming home, is tab water from Denmark. I have been drinking bottled water for half a year because the water in England (at least in Southampton) tastes like chlorine. It is horrible. My body even scratched after taking a shower and my hair is completely dry.

It got me thinking. I have been struggling with my skin, as long as I can remember, but I have finally found improvement methods. First of all, I am no longer eating dairy products. No butter, no milk, no cheese (I miss that) and no crème fraise (I miss that even more). I have been tested for lactose intolerance and it is not that. My theory is that it is the protein in dairy products, but I have no prove. I will however keep it up, because I do see a difference. A very, VERY visual one.

This last half year I have also cut drastically down on my meat. This is not only good for the environment, it is also amazing for my skin. Win-win. I do like meat and I will probably never be a vegetarian, but everyone could do with a veggie-day and more fish, I believe.

Now back to the water. I have not been drinking enough water the last 5 month, that is not a secret. But I have a goal. I want to drink more, not just because it tastes great and is good for me. I want to test if this is the last drop that would finally make my skin great. Water cleanses and washes away bad things, and hopefully it would be the case for me.

So, this will be my little test for the foreseeable future, and I will keep you updated!

And what about you? Is it just me who forgets or do you know the struggle? This is my instigation for you to join me!

Have a wonderful weekend
